An Evening with the Farmerettes: Meal & Conversation lead by Lisa LaFlamme

Join us on the farm Thursday July 17th from 6 - 9pm at Grassroots Farm for a farm fresh meal and evening of conversation about our local history of the Farmerettes lead by Lisa LaFlamme.

Your ticket includes farm fresh salad, artisan wood fired pizza featuring locally sourced ingredients and dessert followed by a conversation with Bonnie Sitter (author/photographer) and Colin Field (documentary filmmaker) lead by Lisa LaFlamme (renowned journalist) about Bonnie Sitter's book 'Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz Memories of Ontario Farmerettes' as well as the new documentary 'We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes'. the history of the Farmerettes and their important involvement on farms here at home to help win the Second World War. Our bar will be open to purchase local beer, wine, cider & seltzers throughout the evening (non-alcoholic options also available).

Also included in your ticket will be an exclusive link for you to watch the documentary at home, a link will be sent to your email ahead of the event. Bonnie's book will be available for sale the evening of the event if you'd like to purchase a copy.
